Mission Cantina

After conquering chinese food at Mission Chinese, Danny Bowien moved on to Mexican. At this LES spot, he serves up tacos, wings, and a damn fine burrito (available for take-out or lunch). Although he recently steered the restaurant in an Asian direction, you’ll still be able to enjoy an inventive taco with a side of Negra Modelo.

Desnuda

With two locations of his popular Latin-American cevicheria, you’ve got twice the chance to enjoy a quintessential date place realized by nightlife maven Ravi DeRossi. Try pairing Negra Modelo with any of their fresh ceviches (the amber qualities of Negra Modelo go really well with citrus). Beware of filling up on their truffle popcorn.

Chef and owner Justin Warner was a trailblazer when he opened up this Bed-Stuy restaurant back in 2011. Three years later, they are still serving up inventive cuisine, including their infamous foie gras doughnut. We dare you to pair that with a Negra Modelo.

Caracas first opened their doors in the East Village in 2003. Since then, owners Maribel Araujo and Aristides Barrios have built an arepa empire. Give the La Puela a try with a Negra Modelo. You won't be disappointed.

Danny Mena and Ethan Smith moved their Hecho digs from a pop-up in Dumbo to a brick-and-mortar spot in Manhattan in 2010. They've certainly proven they know how to make delicious Mexican-style tapas.

Adrienne's Pizza Bar

Run by Nick Angelis of Nick’s Pizza and father-son duo Harry and Peter Poulakakos, Adrienne’s has been churning out of some the city’s finest thin crust pizza for a while. The Old Fashioned pie is the way to go. The crushed tomatoes on that badboy pair well with a crisp Negra Modelo.

The Commodore

Maybe you go to Stephen Tanner’s Commodore for the bar scene and superior dance party. Or maybe you are a pro and go for the food. This saloon is serving up one of the city’s finest fried chicken dishes. Oh, and the nachos? The best (especially with a cerveza like Negra Modelo).

Boulton & Watt

This steampunk-themed bar on the border of the LES is a solid choice if you want a good night out and don’t want to skimp on the eats. They have a separate pickled menu for goodness sakes. We’ve heard rumblings that they also have one hell of a chocolate chip cookie. Negra Modelo and dessert, anyone?

Bryant Park Grill

Primo location and a repertoire of grilled items, Bryant Park Grill is a solid spot for a power lunch. Try the banana pudding or the lamb shish kebabs with a Negra Modelo. The grill brings out the toasty flavor in the lager.

Mesa Coyoacán

Chef and co-owner Ivan Garcia has perfected refined, authentic Mexican dishes at Williamsburg favorite, Mesa Coyoacan. Here, you’ll find some of the best mole in the city: enjoy it slathered over enchiladas, or go for the pollo con mole poblano where it tops a roasted organic chicken. Negra Modelo — solo in a bottle or mixed into a house-made michelada — is an outstanding complement to the sauce’s complex flavors.
