Restaurant Marc Forgione will do two seatings New Year's Eve. The first, from 5:30 to 7:00 p.m., is five courses for $95 per person. The second, from 9:00 to 11:00 p.m. is six courses plus a glass of Champagne for $195 per person. Menu items will include egg drop soup, chili lobster on Texas toast, and a Champagne-glazed torta.

Reynard at Wythe Hotel

Andrew Tarlow's restaurant in the Wythe Hotel will serve a four-course prix fixe meal for $95 per person. The menu will include a raw bar course, caviar, and a choice of lobster or steak for the entree. The restaurant will be taking reservations in two seatings, one early and one late.

Chef Abe Hiroki (and anyone else who wants to try their hand) will do the traditional year-end Mochitsuki, pounding mochi rice cakes with a giant wooden hammer and stone pestle. The restaurant will also offer two Kaiseki menus for either $95 or $135 per person. The first will include stone-grilled Black Angus strip and yellowtail shabu shabu, and the second will include filet mignon katsu and Alaskan king crab with soba noodles. From 9:00 p.m. to midnight, only the $135 menu will be available, and at midnight EN will ring in the New Year with Kagami Biraki, the breaking open of a barrel of sake.

Torrisi's New Year's menu will include oysters, Peekytoe crab arancini, a choice of zuppa di pesce or veal parm, and ice cream cake for dessert. The meal, focussing on foods cooked with smoke and fire, will include a fireplace-roasted antipasto plate, a round of communal salads and appetizers, and a choice of two or three entrees, such as slow roasted lamb shoulder and whole black sea bass, for the table. Tickets must be purchased online. The total cost of each ticket, which includes food, sales tax, a 20 percent gratuity, and a Paypal admin fee is $100.08.

The meal will also include a free Champagne toast at midnight. Alternatively, you can get an all-night open bar for $100 per person, or buy both the meal and the open bar for $175. There will be a Mariachi band and DJ sets throughout the night.

There will be both an early and a late seating on New Year's Eve, the former for $75 per person and the latter for $119 per person. The early, four-course menu will include smoked goose breast, crispy pork belly, New York strip steak, lobster ravioli, and roasted venison loin. The later, five-course menu is mostly the same, but with the choice of foie gras torchon or wild mushroom tart for the additional course.

Chef Preston Clark is celebrating fish and fowl with a large format feast for New Year's Eve. Beginning at 9:00 p.m. the restaurant will serve an array of snacks, charcuterie, sausages, whole animals, and more, including duck fat & fennel pollen popcorn, smoked trout rilette, King Crab legs, crab and duck fried rice, whole roasted ducks and salt-crusted striped bass. Reservations are $150 per person, and they also include a full open bar. Resto is also accepting reservations from 5:00 p.m.-7:00 p.m. for a special a la carte menu focused on duck, shellfish, and dry aged steaks.
