Part of the fun of watching HBO’s stoner novelist-turned-detective comedy Bored to Death, is catching all the NYC bars and restaurants that the characters hit up or reference on their adventures throughout the city. The show has a sharp eye for the dining trends and stereotypes of modern day New York, and if a bar or restaurant is used as a filming location, it’s usually for some reason other than just set dressing. In anticipation of the Season 2 premiere this weekend, here now is a map of ten NYC bars, restaurants and food places that were featured on Season 1.
