While restaurants there have returned to dine service, many are still offering comprehensive takeout dishes

Outdoor dining is now operating in full-swing on Long Island and Wednesday marked the beginning of indoor service for the first time in three months, though it’s at half-capacity. Restaurants in the Hamptons recognize, however, that things likely won’t go back to normal anytime soon. To prepare for a summer season that will now incorporate the takeout model to an unprecedented degree, restaurants here have introduced a large selection of food and drinks to go.

DIY pizza kits, clam bakes, and a variety of seafood dishes are all on tap, as is a selection of packaged cocktails including Negronis and martinis. Here are more than a dozen Hamptons restaurants open for takeout right now.

Union Burger Bar

Southampton burger destination Union Burger lets customers build their own creations starting with the patty — offered with black angus, turkey or vegetarian — the option of potato, pretzel, multi-grain, or brioche bun, and a variety of toppings. Other sandwiches include blackened mahi mahi and pesto chicken. There’s also a selection of cocktails and shakes to go.

Southampton’s Silver Lining Diner, from acclaimed chef Eric Miller, recently reopened for takeout with American classics like lobster roll on a potato bun, turkey club, hamburgers, and a fried chicken sandwich. For family-style meals, the restaurant’s 1.5 pound clambake boxes with lobster, mussels, steamers, red potatoes, corn, guacamole, and strawberry shortcake, make a meal for four.

Bell & Anchor

Upscale seafood restaurant Bell and Anchor is still serving its seafood staples like clam chowder with potatoes, bacon, and cream; shrimp and grits with crispy pork belly, and lobster thermidor, for takeout. The restaurant also has a wide selection of vegetarian options including its pineapple-cashew quinoa with spinach, roasted cauliflower, and pickled vegetables all served in a coconut curry. All the bottles of wine are listed at $35 each.

This Bridgehampton spot is doing a rotating weekly menu of meals that feed two people. The restaurant offers Korean tacos on Tuesday, ramen including Malaysian curried chicken on Thursday, and Mediterranean fare featuring a rack of lamb with Moroccan spices and a whole roast chicken with smoked paprika and preserved lemon, on Saturday.

Among the standout items are the warm shrimp salad with avocado, tomato and champagne vinegar dressing; roasted Maine lobster with corn and carrot-habanero reduction; and caramelized Wagyu beef tenderloin with glazed and roasted carrots and miso mustard sauce. The restaurant now offers DIY steak kits that come with two raw steaks — filet mignon, strip or ribeye —raw vegetables, and some type of uncooked starch. The kits run from $65 to $80 and feed two. Additional menu items include a prime rib special on Saturday, burgers, chicken parmesan sandwiches, and cocktail kits. The Palm is also offering all of its wine selection at half off.
