The Standard Beer Garden isn't the only restaurant prepping its outdoor area for winter use. As many of New York's restaurants begin shuttering their patios, closing the doors to their gardens and pulling tables and chairs from the sidewalk, some are adding heat lamps, stockpiling the snuggies, and applying the space-age plastic to keep their primo real estate usable when the temps drop.
