Beating the Heat: Mapping New York's Best Frozen Treats

It's another scorcher today, and a look at the Eater weather widget shows there's no sign of this heat wave letting up. Luckily for New Yorkers, this city is blessed with endless excellent frozen dessert options. Case in point: the people at Quality Meats wrote in yesterday to say they've launched an ice cream counter where they sell single serving ice cream cakes, amongst other things. They may be revolutionizing the way ice cream lovers consume their calories, but there are plenty of other restaurants serving up other notables, from Griff Gelato's frozen pie on a stick, to Otto's affogato, and Ray's malted milk shakes.
