A Primer on the New York City Thai Restaurant Boom

View as Map

2008_10_hasmaps.jpg Thought Italian was the big trend of 2010? Think again. Just in the last month, three serious and ambitious Thai joints have opened in New York, promising to elevate the cuisine from what we know from the corner pad thai joint. Add that to the list of already venerated restaurants, and it's not such a bad time for some curries or some noodles in New York. Here, now is a map that features some of the newer, fancier restaurants along with some of the more old school, hole-in-the-wall joints that are still worth a visit.

Did we skip a personal fave? Is there an egregious omission? Let us know in the comments.
