20 Shuttered Restaurants New Yorkers Miss the Most

View as Map

2008_10_hasmaps.jpgIn last Friday's Open Thread, we asked a simple (not so simple) question of readers and commenters: what is the one restaurant that you miss the most in New York. Everyone has a favorite or two they still pine after, they still ache for when they walk by the disappointing new business that has taken its place, whether it closed last month or last decade. Of course, too many restaurants were offered up to include in the below map, but we curated some of the most often recommended and some of the most iconic among the dearly departed. Check back later this afternoon for the full list of missed restaurants.
