There have always been bars that serve food in Williamsburg, Brooklyn, but over the last year or so, several concepts have opened up with menus that are inventive, inexpensive, and skillfully executed, but still tailor made for eating at the bar. Some of these are taverns with established, respected chefs in the kitchen, others are operations that have installed themselves in already existing watering holes, and a few are pop-ups that offer unique menus in places that don’t even have a kitchen.
