Are you obsessed with restaurants, news, gossip, and all the drama that happens in the New York restaurant world? Are you a reporter and writer that lives for a scoop and considers cold-calling people second nature? Is the fast pace of digital news appealing to you?

Eater New York is looking for a part-time reporter: It’s a union position with benefits for a someone with digital news and social media savvy. The person will contribute news stories, features, and maps to our New York city site, one of Eater’s marquee publications and part of Vox Media. Reporting skills and journalism training is a must; beat experience covering New York restaurants is a major plus.

We’re looking for a journalist who can quickly cover the news but who also wants to dig deeper. If you’re passionate about breaking news while diversifying our coverage — we’re constantly seeking stories outside of Manhattan and Brooklyn, the sources we regularly turn to, and topics we write about — let’s get in touch.

Find the full job posting here. Send over a resume, a few clips where you’re proud of the reporting, and a cover letter that articulates why you’d be a great fit for the role. If we like what we see, we’ll follow up quickly.
