Join Eater and Local Restaurants to Support Meal Deliveries to New Yorkers in Need

Here’s how you can get involved

On Monday, October 18, local New York City charity God’s Love We Deliver will host its annual gala and fundraiser, the Golden Heart Awards, to honor the contributions made by individuals and corporations to its cause. Founded in 1985 at the height of the HIV/AIDS pandemic, God’s Love We Deliver is a secular organization that expanded its efforts in 2020 to also support those facing challenges from COVID-19.

Today, God’s Love is cooking and home-delivering more than 10,000 meals every weekday with the help of a robust volunteer network. By purchasing a ticket to attend this year’s gala, whether virtual or in person, you’ll be supporting the organization’s efforts directly.

Eater is thrilled to be a partner in the 15th annual celebration of the Golden Heart Awards, which are co-hosted by Michael Kors. For those attending in-person at the Glasshouse in Chelsea, there will be a cocktail hour and dinner featuring food from restaurants including Bolivian Llama Party, Dame, Frenchette, and Pinch Chinese. The onsite bar for the night will be provided by Upper East Side martini icon, Bemelmans Bar. And for those attending virtually, there’s a curated box from Russ & Daughters in store for you.

Tickets for the evening begin at $2,500 and the funds raised at the event will go directly to providing meals for those in the metropolitan area dealing with hunger and illnesses. You can also get involved by attending this year’s New York City Wine and Food Festival (October 14 - 17), which is benefiting both God’s Love We Deliver and the Food Bank For New York City.
