The team behind popular restaurants like Locanda Verde and Bar Primi is expanding again. Noho Hospitality Group — run by partners chef Andrew Carmellini, Luke Ostrom, and Josh Pickard — will be opening a new project in Nomad at 250 Fifth Ave., at 28th Street, next year, according to the Times.
Details are still slim, but the address is also home to a luxury hotel by Flaneur Hospitality and Empire Management that’s still under construction. Previous reports about the development note that it will have a ground-floor restaurant, plus an outdoor bar and terrace on the ninth floor and two outdoor rooftop bars on the 23rd floor. The property’s expected to finish next year.
Eater has reached out to Noho and Empire Management for further details.
It wouldn’t the first time that the Italian-leaning restaurant group has teamed up with a hotel. They’re also behind Leuca in the William Vale and Locanda Verde in the Greenwich Hotel, where they’re known for drawing crowds with consistent and approachable fare.
