The iconic burgers of Greenwich Village pub Corner Bistro are now available in Williamsburg.
This week, the famed restaurant started firing up burgers at a new stall in Williamsburg food hall North 3rd Street Market, located at 103 North 3rd St. between Wythe Avenue and Berry Street. The market opened in June, and though Corner Bistro’s presence at the market was announced early on, it didn’t start cooking until Monday.
Expect the same, simple menu of burgers and fries at this food hall location, though obviously without the ambiance of the nearly 60-year-old original. The bistro burger — toped with American cheese and bacon — is available for $12.75, and a chili burger, hamburger, and cheeseburger are also available. BLT, grilled cheese, fries, tater tots, and an egg cream round out the menu. It’s the third location for the restaurant, which also has an outpost in Long Island City. Take a look at full menu below.
Also finally ready to serve food is Kalamaki NY, a new Greek restaurant serving pita, grilled skewers, hummus, and salads. Corner Bistro and Kalamaki NY join a lineup that includes other heavyweights like La Newyorkina, Bien Cuit, Chuko, and DI Fara. (Both Eater critics Robert Sietsema and Ryan Sutton recommend grabbing a Di Fara slice.)
The market still isn’t fully ready, though. Three more vendors are still coming: Sausage Hero, VISH serving Israeli hummus, and a place called Joy Does, run by the owners of nearby Louise Rouge.
