On Saturdays, Rogers makes pecan wood-smoked pork ribs and chicken legs with a vinegar-based sauce that have attracted a following. A cardboard sign calls it Smack Grill, and customers say they love it for how well the smoke sticks to the meat.

There will also be a speakeasy-style cocktail bar in the private dining room called Ladies Room.

Since the death of the owner of Great Jones Cafe, the beloved Noho Cajun-Creole restaurant has remained closed, with no word as to when it will reopen. On the Upper West Side, Aroma Espresso Bar is now closed. Finally, four-year-old Irish pub Dorian Gray Tap & Grill in Alphabet City has closed after four years.
