Lower East side pie purveyor Petee’s has opened an all-day cafe in Clinton Hill that expands the menu to the savory. Petee’s Cafe, at 505 Myrtle Ave. between Ryerson Street and Grand Avenue, adds salads and sandwiches to the menu alongside beloved pies like the salty chocolate chess and red bean custard with black sesame whipped cream.

Stretching beyond pie, the expanded menu — in full below — includes a vegetable quiche, chicken pot pie, and a warm lentil salad with seasonal vegetables and a soft-boiled tamari egg. Neighbor purveyors such as the Meat Hook and Parlor Coffee contribute cold cuts and coffee, respectively. Service is at the counter, and a liquor license for boozy pie milkshakes, cocktails, beer, cider, and wine is on the way.

Co-owner Petra Paredez designed the cafe with pink, gold, and green tones. The bright room is reminiscent of a modern luncheonette, tempered for the millennial Instagram set. There are 38 seats for people to lounge in, with some in the backyard garden where Paredez grows vegetables and herbs for the quiche and salads.

Petee’s first opened on the Lower East Side in 2015 and quickly grew a fanbase for its luscious pies like the toasted almond chess version, with an amaretto-flavored chess filling and layer of chocolate ganache. The addition of a new all-day cafe outpost neatly fits into the growing trend within NYC, with La Mercerie, Fairfax, and Atla all opening in the last year.

Petee’s Cafe is now open daily from 10 a.m. to 10 p.m.
