Roberta’s team debuts new restaurant for NYC art fair

This weekend, famed art fair Frieze returns to Randall’s Island Park with food and beverage offerings from the team behind Roberta’s and Blanca. Chef and co-founder Carlo Mirarchi and co-founder Brandon Hoy will unleash a new full-service restaurant Foul Witch by Blanca as part of the art fair. The 70-seat restaurant will have an all-day menu of natural wines and dishes like wagyu tartar, scallop ceviche, and a double cheeseburger. The full menu is below.

Hoy and Mirarchi also developed a coffee and rosé bar for the fairgrounds, which will serve pastries from Roberta’s Bakery alongside Stumptown coffee. A Roberta’s pop-up will also be at the fair, dishing out pizzas. There will be two other full-service restaurants at the fest, including The Fat Radish and Frankies Spuntino. Other food and drink options include Black Fox Coffee Co, a Stella Artois cafe, and a preview pop-up of upcoming Williamsburg all-day restaurant Gertie. Tickets for the festival start at $48 and are available here.

EMP Summer House now accepting reservations

Eleven Madison Park restaurateurs Will Guidara and Daniel Humm return to the Hamptons this summer, and reservations are officially live for EMP Summer House, back on May 25 in its East Hamptons mansion. Clam and bacon or corn and truffle flatbreads are on the menu this summer, along with food for groups like a whole fish for tacos that comes in at $95 per person or a lobster boil with Parker House rolls and a seasonal pie for $125 per person.

Two new brunches in town

Park Slope’s new neighborhood Italian restaurant Fausto will start serving brunch this weekend. There’s pasta on the menu, along with more traditional brunch dishes like baked eggs, french toast, pancakes, and a breakfast sandwich on ciabatta with scrambled egg, sausage, fontina, and ramp pesto. Fausto’s brunch kicks off this Saturday, and then on Sunday, Floyd Cardoz rolls out brunch at his Soho Indian restaurant Bombay Bread Bar, which includes a dosa filled with eggs, chili, and garlic chutney, as well as a “naan pizza” with bacon, cheese, and fried eggs.

A charity dinner to raise money for homeless New Yorkers

Blanca’s Carlo Mirarchi is also on the lineup for an upcoming one-night benefit event to support NYC’s homeless population featuring a slew of chefs with Michelin cred. He joins Aquavit’s Emma Bengtsson, Aureole’s Christopher Engel, Del Posto’s Melissa Rodriguez, Café Boulud’s Aaron Bludorn, and Casa Enrique’s Cosme Aguilar, who will cook their signature dishes for a fundraiser dinner for the organization Breaking Ground on June 25 from 6:30 p.m. to 9:30 p.m. in the Prince George Ballroom in Flatiron. Tickets start at $250 and are on sale here.

The terrace, with both tables and lounge seating, has a reflecting pool, potted plants, and sculptures made to look like splashes of water.
