Just in time for the warmer weather, ultra-popular food hall Urbanspace brings its pop-up, outdoor locations Broadway Bites and Mad. Sq. Eats back to Manhattan this week.
Located at Greeley Square on the western border of Koreatown, Broadway Bites opens on Wednesday, May 2 with 29 vendors, including returning places like Empanada Papa (unrelated to Empanada Mama) and Asian-Mexican fusion chain Domo Taco. New vendors include Russian dumpling purveyor Daa! Dumplings, Smorgasburg vet Ramen Burger, and liquid nitrogen ice cream shop Cryo Cream.
Further south, Mad. Sq. Eats reopens on Saturday, May 5 in General Worth Square, on the western border of Madison Square Park. That outdoor food market will have 25 vendors, including Bushwick’s acclaimed pizza restaurant Roberta’s and others, like Arancini Bros., Taiwanese bao spot Bao by Kaya, and Gotham Poke. New to the market, London import Burger & Lobster will sling its basic bait to the masses with another NYC location.
Urbanspace is on a roll, having recently opened its new Midtown East location, Urbanspace at 570 Lex, which is just six blocks north of its other full-time food hall on Vanderbilt. With the reopening of its seasonal outdoor markets on the horizon, the company further saturates the massive food market scene in NYC.
