New York City’s glut of food halls only continues to grow, with Urbanspace today adding a second full-time market in Midtown East. Urbanspace at 570 Lex — at 570 Lexington Avenue at 51st Street — is basically just a clone of the other market, with a few new food options. But considering the crowds at Urbanspace’s other food hall, people are likely to swarm this one as well.
NYC falafel favorite Taïm joins the roster, as does Roman pizza pocket spot Trapizzino. Food hall regular Roberta’s is bringing its pizzas, and Ippudo’s quick-service ramen brand Kuro-Obi has a stall, too. The full list of vendors is here.
Though O.G. Chelsea Market still rules the food hall roost, Urbanspace has emerged as a leader in the genre in the last few years, already managing a full-time space, as well as running the Bryant Park, Union Square, and Columbus Circle holiday markets. The company also runs seasonal pop-ups from Madison Square Eats to Broadway Bites that are popular with office workers down Manhattan.
This newest entrant is now open Monday through Saturday from 6 a.m. to 11 p.m. and Sunday from 7 a.m. to 10 p.m.
