EMP Summer House Will Return This May for the Hamptons Elite

Increasingly prolific Eleven Madison Park restaurateurs Will Guidara and Daniel Humm will return to the Hamptons this summer for a revival of elite pop-up EMP Summer House.

The a la carte, exclusive East Hamptons restaurant — only those with an American Express card can make a reservation — initially opened as a way for EMP staffers to work as the pair’s flagship three Michelin-starred tasting menu restaurant redesigned. The restaurant’s since reopened, but EMP Summer House was clearly enough of a hit for a revival. Despite limitations on who could book a table, the pop-up sold out most of its tenure and even had a Leonardo DiCaprio spotting toward the end.

This summer at 341 Pantigo Rd., the same house will host the summery restaurant that has seafood classics like a lobster roll, as well as outdoor space and corn hole and ping pong in the backyard. Besides the Hamptons project, Guidara and Humm — with financial help from AmEx — will also expand their more casual pop-up to Aspen next winter.

Guidara and Humm now have seven projects in New York City and Los Angeles between Eleven Madison Park and The NoMad Hotels. Last year, they housed the restaurant’s entire staff in the Hamptons, but this year with EMP open, they’ll have to make new hires as well as bring some veteran staffers out there again.

EMP Summer House reopens on May 25, with reservations going live on May 1. Walk-ins are accepted, but diners can only pay with AmEx or cash.
