Hotel Henri Gifts Chelsea With a Top Floor Speakeasy

And cocktails from a Milk & Honey vet

Another New York hotel is behind a swanky new cocktail bar: Chelsea’s Hotel Henri from Wyndham is debuting its top-floor speakeasy Sir Henri. It comes on heels of another top-floor hotel speakeasy at the Mandarin, The Office, from Grant Achatz and Nick Kokonas that opened last month.

Headlining the cocktail program is Milk & Honey vet Gil Bouhana, who has put together drinks like the Honey’s Alright, a mix of ginger bourbon, vermouth, muddle cantaloupes, lemon, and honey, served inside a honeydew melon. The menu of snacks hails from Brad Warner, the chef who oversees the kitchen at Shay & Ivy downstairs. Expect dishes like a meat and cheese board, tuna tartare, and a mushroom and walnut pâté.

There isn’t an outdoor area, but Sir Henri offers views of Lower Manhattan. Starting Thursday, July 27, Sir Henri will be open daily from 4:00 p.m. until 1:00 a.m. Take a look at the space and view below.
