It’s been three months since the debut of Daily Provisions, Union Square Cafe’s more casual, counter service sister cafe next door — which mean it’s time for the launch of dinner. Until now, Daily Provisions has been a pastry and quick lunch stop, but dinner officially launches Wednesday, May 10 Thursday, May 11, delayed due to some ConEd issues that didn’t allow for dinner prep. [Updated Wednesday, May 10 at 12:20 p.m.]
The menu, in full below, centers around rotisserie chicken with side options, plus a few sandwiches to round it out. It builds on the similar lunch offering, with the addition of the chicken and a patty melt. New sides — seasonal, of course — include shaved asparagus with lemon and pecorino, lentils and beets with goat cheese, schmaltz-roasted potatoes, spring vegetable soup, and seasonal focaccia. Looks like the go-to option is the half chicken, two sides, and a loaf of bread for $32, which, ostensibly could feed two.
Dinner at Daily Provisions runs daily as of Wednesday from 4 p.m. to 9 p.m., now making the restaurant an all-day option.
