— Portland-based ice cream shop Salt & Straw has certainly reached cult status over on the West Coast for its smooth product and off-beat flavors such as pear and blue cheese. Now, it’s collaborating with Danny Meyer’s all-day cafe Daily Provisions for options like rye bread with strawberry jam and poppy seed cheesecake. Grub Street reports it’s the shop’s “first foothold in New York,” hinting at possibly more to come.

— Thursday marks the start of Indie Chefs Week, a showcase founded by the chef-owner of hit Austin restaurant Foreign & Domestic. In its fourth year, it’s coming to NYC from May 18 to May 21, with chefs such as Little Park’s Min Kong, Pasquale Jones’ Emily Chapman, The Breslin’s Trevor Kunk, plus out-of-towners collaborating on four dinners this coming weekend. Grab tickets and see the full schedule here.

— There’s drama, drama, drama surrounding the proposed reopening of Epstein’s Bar on the Lower East Side. Bowery Boogie does a deep dive into the licenses surrounding the space, which neighbors adamantly oppose.

— June marks Amy’s Bread’s 25th anniversary, and the bakery is rolling prices back to 1992 to celebrate. Every Friday in June, Amy’s — which is now seven locations strong — will offer apple nut raisin loaves, sour cream coffee cake with blueberries, savory focaccia, key lime bars, and blondies with walnuts at vintage pricing. On it’s actual anniversary, June 20, slices of cake and a small coffee will be just $1.

— In advance &pizza’s NYC launch, the D.C. pizza chain is offering free pies to anyone who post a photo of the about-to-open storefront at 15 West 28th Street. Include the hashtag #NYCandPizza and you’ll get a free pizza during opening.

— Lastly, here’s a look at one of Salt & Straw’s funkiest flavors, fish sauce ice cream:
