Popular Park Slope bar, venue, and restaurant Union Hall is closed after a fire broke out on Friday night. The blaze started just before midnight while several shows were in progress.

FDNY contained the fire by around 12:30 p.m. and nobody was injured, but artists at the venue told Brooklyn Vegan “the place is wrecked.” The bar and restaurant at 702 Union St. says on its website that the team is still assessing the damage.

“In the short term we will be closed. We hope to reopen as quickly as possible,” the statement says. “We appreciate all the support from the community and will keep you updated.”

The 5,000-square-foot converted warehouse space is a well-known local venue for musicians, comedians, and more. It also has a library, two indoor bocce courts, and garden seating. The space also serves a menu of bar food like tacos and wings. No word yet on what caused the fire.

I already made the "it's lit" joke so here just the photo
