It looks like Daniel Humm and Will Guidara may have found a place for the staff of Eleven Madison Park, who will be out of work over the summer when the three Michelin-star restaurant closes for top to bottom renovations.
Bernard Kiembock, the property owner of Moby’s at 341 Pantigo Rd. in East Hampton, says the hospitality twosome is in negotiations for the space for the summer.
"We are talking, but at this point it is a matter of whether we can come up with a deal,'' says Kiembock. According to industry insiders, the pair is planning to open a summer pop-up of the Nomad Bar.
Moby’s, which debuted in 2014, came from Aussies Nick Hatsatouris (who’s connected to the soon-to-open Trapizzino) and Lincoln Pilcher — the duo behind LA’s Eveleigh and the now shuttered Kingswood in the West Village.
It’s an already a very busy next couple of years for the makers of nice, who just last month announced a project in the Financial District. The opening of Made Nice, the fast-casual restaurant directly next to the Nomad Bar, is imminent, while later this year the team will unveil a second iteration of their hotel/dining complex the Nomad inside Downtown LA's Giannini Building. After the World Trade Center restaurant, the duo will roll out two-story fine dining restaurant at 425 Park Ave. (slated for 2019). Per Guidara, all projects are “well spaced out.”
