Prepare for a festival highlighting dollhouse desserts and Instagrammable treats as Dessert Goals returns to New York for a second run. The dessert-themed gathering, which will take place on March 25th and 26th, comes from founders Miraya Berke and Liang Shi, who reportedly sold-out last year’s event in 10 minutes.
The lineup at next month’s event features the return of vendors like mochi purveyors Mochidoki, the soft-serve-fish-cone people at Taiyaki NYC, banana pudding shop Baonanas, and “artisanal Twinkies” makers, Jae NYC Eats. Newcomers to the festival include Coolhaus and gourmet cake shop, Silk Cakes.
The event will also offer a number of interactive workshops like coffee tutorials with Intelligentsia, and something called an “Instagram garden,” which is essentially an outdoor patio where each visitor spends hours playing with different backgrounds, textiles, and surfaces for the perfect food photo. No word on if there will be someone on hand to help think of captions. Though, if we may, feel free to steal “This shit is baonanas” for your photo of banana pudding.
The two-day event will take place at Dobbin St., a Williamsburg event space. Tickets are $15 and go on sale Thursday, February 9th. There will be a small number of early bird tickets for $10.
