The chef behind a nationally acclaimed, impossible-to-get-into DC restaurant will be making an appearance in Brooklyn for one night only next week. Aaron Silverman of Rose’s Luxury is cooking with fellow neighborhood restaurant star Olmsted and its chef Greg Baxtrom in Prospect Heights on Monday, Febraury 6th. Just as with Silverman’s restaurant in DC, the meal will be walk-ins only.
Rose’s Luxury has been a huge hit since opening in 2013. It’s topped a slew of best restaurant in the country lists and it’s been on Eater’s list of National 38 best restaurants for several year running. Silverman also earned the James Beard Award for the best chef in the Mid-Atlantic region last year for his dynamic fare. The tiny restaurant usually doesn’t take reservations except for big parties, so even though it debuted a while ago, it still has one of the longest lines and wait times in the city.
On Monday, Silverman will be collaborating on a menu with Baxtrom, who’s also been firing up in the local dining scene. All of the dishes will be a la carte, a selection of dishes from Baxtrom and a handful of dishes from Rose’s Luxury — like its pork sausage with habanero, peanuts, and lychee.
Doors open at 5 p.m. at 659 Vanderbilt Ave., between Park Place and Prospect Place.
