Salt sprinkling viral phenomenon Nusret Gökçe, aka Salt Bae, is cracking open the doors on his NYC restaurant as early as next month.

The Turkish restaurateur’s steakhouse chain Nusr-et — located here in Midtown at 60 West 53rd Street near Sixth Avenue — started hiring last week and should be opening to the public by the first week of December, according to Kemal Binici, Bae’s right-hand man in New York. The first U.S. location opened in Miami just a few days ago.

Like the other location, this one will serve marinated sliced beef, lamb, burgers, and other meat-heavy dishes. The restaurant here will seat at least 130 people, and tableside service will be a heavy component of the experience, Binici says.

The chain now has 11 locations around the world, including Turkey and Dubai. Gökçe rose to fame earlier this year for the sensual way he salts meat. When the Miami location opened, Salt Bae romped all around town — so expect to see the glasses-wearing meme wandering around New York again soon, too.
