Charming Soho and West Village favorite Jack’s Wife Freda is expanding to Chelsea.

The popular neighborhood restaurant from Dean and Maya Jankelowitz will be planting a third location at 116 Eighth Avenue, near West 16th Street, DNAinfo reports. It will open next year and will serve the menu of straightforward and flavorful dishes like peri-peri chicken, beet dip, and salads that Jack’s Wife Freda has become known for over the years.

Jack’s Wife Freda — known for its brunch and consistent menu with upgrades on diner fare — has been bustling without being overcrowded since it first opened in Soho in 2012. It expanded to a second location in the West Village in 2014, and earlier this year, the owners released their first cookbook, Jack's Wife Freda: Cooking From New York's West Village. In a look at the cookbook, noted that being in the restaurant is “like a dinner party with a bunch of strangers.”
