America’s orange chicken king Panda Express now has a location in Brooklyn, another step in the buffet-style chain’s big NYC expansion plan. The Southern-California based chain soft-opened an outpost in Flatbush at 2166 Nostrand Ave. late last month and held a grand opening last week.

Panda Express previously had a minimal presence in New York, despite being the country’s most ubiquitous Chinese American food chain. After a failed FiDi restaurant in the ‘90s, the company recently decided to tackle New York again. New Yorkers now have nine different locations to go to for the fast food chain’s signature orange chicken, including four in Manhattan that all opened in the last two years.

The new Brooklyn restaurant is near Flatbush Junction, a mall-like area with a Target, a Chipotle, and a Burger King.
