Chef Wylie Dufresne has announced plans for his next project: A doughnut and coffee shop in Brooklyn. The James Beard Award-winning chef announced the news on Twitter this afternoon with a photo of the logo for Du’s Donuts and Coffee, teasing that the project will be a part of the massive William Vale Hotel in Williamsburg.

At the new hotel, Dufresne is joining hitmaker Andrew Carmellini and co., who are opening a Southern Italian restaurant named Leuca and Westlight, a rooftop bar serving craft cocktails. Dufresne closed his iconic restaurant wd~50 in 2014, and it's been a while since the chef has opened a new restaurant, though he's had stuff in the works. Up until earlier this year, Dufresne was working with AKA Wall Street to open a restaurant inside the FiDi hotel, and he is still consulting on indian fast-casual restaurant Soho Tiffin Junction. Eater has reached out to Dufrense’s team and will update with any new information.
