The hip downtown team behind Estela, Thomas Carter and Ignacio Mattos, will be offering more casual fare at two new concepts at the Upper East Side museum Met Breuer. Flo Flab writes that the pair will be introducing both Flora Coffee and Flora Bar this fall, with breakfast and "simple lunch fare" at Coffee and a vegetable and seafood-centric dinner and lunch at Bar. They are tasked with bringing "downtown spirit" and "daring food" to the notoriously unhip neighborhood. "We’re very nervous," Carter tells the Times.

The museum, which is dedicated to 20th and 21st century art, opened in March and is affiliated with the Metropolitan Museum of Art. Both Floras will be open even if the museum is not, accessible by their own entrance along 75th Street. The coffee and bar will open next month, with just dinner at the bar to start. Stay tuned for more details as they become available.
