Brooklyn Star Spinoff Now Open Inside Greenpoint’s Brooklyn Bazaar

The new restaurant focuses on fried chicken and Southern-style sides

Brooklyn Bazaar

Williamsburg Southern restaurant The Brooklyn Star now has a fast-casual spinoff inside Greenpoint’s Brooklyn Bazaar, a permanent iteration of the Brooklyn Night Bazaar. The operation — which opened on September 9 — features live music, karaoke, arcade games, and a market out of the former Polonaise Terrace space, a sprawling Greenpoint banquet hall that has been vacant since 2013. The highlight of chef Joaquin Baca’s menu is the BK Star’s fried chicken, served here in buckets with four to 12 pieces. Plate options include a fried chicken bao, corn dogs, a chili Frito pie, and a catfish BLT.

The Brooklyn Bazaar’s Market, open Friday and Saturdays from 7:00 p.m. to 2:00 a.m., will feature rotating food and retail vendors. Current food vendors include Ice & Vice and Brooklyn gluten free bakery Elisa’s Love Bites. Brunch is set to start at The Brooklyn Star and the Market on Sunday October 9.

To celebrate the opening, The Brooklyn Star is throwing a party tonight for the neighborhood. Dinner at The Brooklyn Star at Brooklyn Bazaar is served Tuesday to Sunday starting at 6:00 p.m. Do let us know what you think if you happen to stop by.
