Blacktail Brings a Taste of Prohibition-Era Cuba to Pier A Near the Financial District

The Dead Rabbit team strikes again

Here is a look around Blacktail, the new bar and restaurant from Sean Muldoon and Jack McGarry, the team behind the critically acclaimed The Dead Rabbit. The theme at Blacktail is that it's an homage to the American bars that transplanted to Cuba during prohibition. This includes period cocktails, including four daiquiris, as well as a fancy riff on a rum and Coke. Right now, the bar is serving 50 speciality cocktails. The food menu has chicken lollipops, caviar, crudo, pork ribs, a short rib sloppy joe, and a Cubano sandwich made with rabbit and ham. If you stop by do let us know what you think.
