The neon orange "seized" sticker is now hanging on the door of Grimaldi’s Chelsea outpost in the Limelight. Gothamist reports that the pizzeria has a balance of $121,909 in unpaid sales taxes and penalties. According to an employee at the Dumbo flagship, the Grimaldi’s team is working out the issues with the Department of Taxation and Finance, but the Chelsea location is currently closed. The popular Brooklyn pizzeria opened this Manhattan outpost back in 2011. A worker tells Gothamist: "The place was supposed to be busier than it is, it's not a busy store." No word yet on when the pizzeria will reopen.
