Orchard Street Hot Spot Wildair Lands on Bill Addison’s Best New Restaurants List 2016

Contra’s spinoff represents New York City on the second annual list of the country’s finest new eating destinations

Wildair, the wine-bar from Jeremiah Stone and Fabian von Hauske, is the one of the new restaurants that impressed Eater restaurant editor Bill Addison during his year-long eating tour of America. The Orchard Street hot spot is the only New York establishment on Addison’s second annual Best New Restaurants List. Eater’s critic writes:

Wildair is ostensibly a wine bar first, so let the staff steer you through the magnificent, predominantly French list. It registers as the opposite of the food menu: dense and obscure for all but the most dedicated geeks. What arrives in your glass is excitingly different, often pleasantly odd, and you'll settle into the densely packed room feeling awfully content.

Earlier this year, Wildair also landed on the New York 38. Check out more of Bill's thoughts on Wildair, along with information about the other 20 Best New Restaurants, here.
