Plus: Black Seed bagel sandwiches for breakfast

Mile End at Urbanspace Vanderbilt Urbanspace

Montreal-style smoked meat shop Mile End Delicatessen can now be found in Midtown. Esteemed smoker Noah Bernamoff debuted a booth for the restaurant today in mega-market Urbanspace Vanderbilt, offering smoked meat sandwiches, reubens, and smoked turkey sandwiches for lunch. At breakfast, sandwiches will arrive on Montreal-style bagels from Bernamoff’s other hot enterprise, Black Seed Bagel. They'll also be offering a corn dog, a new menu item special to the Midtown location. In celebration of the debut, Mile End will be selling bacon, egg, and cheese sandwiches plus a coffee for $5 before 9 a.m. from now until Labor Day.

Mile End already has locations in Boerum Hill and Noho. The new operation replaces creperie Bar Suzette, which still has an outpost in Chelsea Market. Since Urbanspace Vanderbilt opened last year, the team has been switching up the vendors as a way to treat the market as an "incubator" for new or expanding food businesses. In the spring, Mill Basin-based food truck and cult favorite Hard Times Sundaes went in, taking over the booth of Hong Kong Street Cart. See a full line-up of what’s in the market now here.
