Fresh, the farm to table-focused restaurant owned by chef Todd Jacobs, closed this summer after three years, with Jacobs moving to become chef at Redbar Brasserie in Southampton. It looked as if the Bridgehampton space at 203 Sag Harbor Turnpike would remain empty this year, but Eric Lemonides and chef Jason Weiner, who own the popular Almond in Bridgehampton, have grabbed it.

"It will be a late night bar with a pool table and a limited menu of Mediterranean small plates,'' says Lemonides. Look for lamb chops and grilled feta cheese, along with veggies, house-made sodas, and cocktails made with ingredients sourced from the front garden. "The girls at Amber Waves Farms in Amagansett will be curating and growing the garden for us,'' says Weiner. Like their last restaurant, the new one, to be called Zigmund's, will be named after Jason's wife, Almond Zigmund.
