Tonight, Matthew Trebek and Nodar Mosiashvili are opening Oso — their Mexican restaurant just off the City College campus. Trebek is a former bartender at Willow Road who worked with executive chef Cassandra Rhoades and sous chef Stephen Mulkins at the Chelsea restaurant before it quietly closed in November 2014. For the menu, Rhoades is focusing on Mexican street food, inspired by Trebek's travels to Mexico City. Highlights include grilled shrimp tacos, ribs with guava-chipotle glaze, and a braised octopus tostada. For dessert, there's a brownie with horchata ice cream and spiced pepitas. Take a look at the full opening menu below, and let us know what you think if you stop by.
