Detroit-Style Pizza Steps Into the Spotlight at Emmy Squared, Opening Tonight

Here is a look around the new bar from the Emmy Pizza crew serving Detroit style pies

Here is a look around Emmy Squared, the new bar/pizzeria from Emily and Matt Hyland of Emily Pizza fame, opening tonight in Williamsburg. While the focus at the duo's original restaurant is Neapolitan-inspired pizza, at Emmy Squared the pies will be Detroit style, heretofore an unrepresented form in NYC. There is also a full cocktail program as well as beer and wine.

In addition to pizzas, the menu features a selection of small plates (salads, duck wings) and sandwiches (meatball, chicken parmesan), but no burger just yet. That will change In the weeks ahead as the team plans to open a subterranean burger lounge.  If you stop by do be sure to tell us all about it.
