After just six months in the kitchen at Resto, Koren Grieveson is no longer the chef of the Murray Hill restaurant. Representatives for Resto say that the chef is "incredibly talented," but she was ultimately not "the right fit" for the restaurant. Grieveson took the helm of Resto back in October, after a brief stint of helping out former chef Francis Derby as he transitioned to running the adjacent Cannibal and its various outposts. Grieveson is a veteran of Avec in Chicago and ran the kitchen at Claudette prior to joining Resto. The chef put her own stamp on the nearly decade-old restaurant, rewriting much of the menu while retaining some of the classics. She was rewarded for her efforts with a two star review from the Times. Derby will oversee the kitchen at Resto until a full time replacement is found.
