Smorgasburg is making its return for the summer season this weekend. On Saturday, the market's Williamsburg outpost on Kent Avenue will open for its sixth year. And, replacing Sunday's Brooklyn Bridge location, Smorgasburg is premiering in Prospect Park's Breeze Hill on Sunday April 3. The outdoor market will be unveiling 25 new food vendors after holding its annual tastings earlier this year, from a Japanese dessert that looks like a literal raindrop to a German street food made with marinated meat on a spit. The team went through nearly 70 tastings after receiving more than 350 applications.
Vendors making their first appearance to the outdoor market this weekend include #Baonanas, an artisanal banana pudding stand; Wowfulls, which offers egg-based waffles with ice cream; and The Choripan’s Argentinian sausage sandwich. Check out the full list of new vendors below. And if you happen to stop by this weekend, be sure to let us know what you think.
