French restaurant Les Halles — best known for being the former cooking home of food world star Anthony Bourdain — closed its Park Avenue South location on Thursday after close to 25 years in business, a manager confirms. Employees found out yesterday. The FiDi location at 15 John St. remains open. Manager Yvonne Lantidua says the brasserie was forced to close the original location in Kips Bay due a rent issue. Eater could not immediately reach the building's landlord. Bourdain, who the restaurant still calls its "chef-at-large" on social media, is no longer affiliated with Les Halles. Stay tuned for more information as it becomes available.
