A few weeks shy of celebrating three years, the Bleecker Street location of Sugar and Plumm Purveryors of Yumm closed its doors. The West Village location of the confectioner with sweets from pastry chef Pichet Ong opened in 2013 as an offshoot of Sugar and Plumm's Upper West Side flagship, which remains open. The space on the corner of Bleecker and Cornelia Streets served to-go options like almond croissants, macarons, and frozen yogurt. The West Village location is no longer listed on Sugar and Plumm's website, and corporate declined to say why the shutter occurred. The 257 Bleecker Street building's landlord — the notorious Steven Croman — did not immediately respond to request for more information.
