Daddy’s, the 15-year-old Graham Avenue pub with the horseshoe-shaped bar, roaring fireplace, moderately priced cocktails, and mellow backyard, is closing at the end of the month. The owners announce on Instagram that the bar will have a farewell party on December 30, and a private event for friends and family on December 31. An employee at Daddy’s tells Eater that a "high end whiskey bar" is moving in, from a team that has "a couple of other bars" in the area. Word on the street is that this could be the people behind The Whiskey. Eater has reached out to the upscale whiskey bar for more info about the potential revamp. An employee at The Whiskey Brooklyn was unaware of the plans this afternoon. Stay tuned for more details on the fate of the Daddy’s space as they become available. And if you hear anything about a bar or restaurant that's opening or closing in your neighborhood, please send any photos or intel to the tipline.
