Eater’s senior critic continues his survey of NYC’s trendiest dish

On the Fifth Day of Poke, My True Love Gave to Me…

A Spicy Chicken Poke-rrito at Pokeworks: To show me how far afield poke has travelled from its original Hawaiian roots, My True Love selected not only cooked chicken as a principal ingredient (why not raw chicken, haha), and had it rolled in nori to make a poke burrito. The thing came semi-festively wrapped in brown paper, deposited in a brown recyclable container. This gigantic maki roll filled me up, but, sorry True Love, it didn’t leave me wanting more. 63 W 37th St, 212-575-8881.
