Michael Chernow’s summery, seafood restaurant Seamore’s may be opening its second location in Chelsea, according to DNAInfo. Chernow — who also co-owns meatball mini-chain The Meatball Shop with Daniel Holzman — appeared before Community Board 4 on Tuesday applying for the space at 161 Eighth Avenue. "The food’s good," Chernow told the committee. "I promise." DNA notes that the committee ultimately voted in favor of Chernow’s application for a beer, wine, and liquor license.

The original Seamore’s opened in June last year on the corner of Broome and Mulberry and has since received positive reviews, including one from Shauna Lyon of Tables for Two. Seamore’s Chelsea does not yet have an opening date in mind. Stay tuned for more news as it becomes available.
