Matthew Rudofker has been named executive chef at Má Pêche. Rudofker will continue to hold the executive chef position at Momofuku Ssäm Bar, which he has held since 2013. As you may recall, former Ssäm Bar staffer Tien Ho opened Momofuku's Midtown restaurant in 2010. He left in 2011 and was replaced by Paul Carmichael, who departed earlier this year to go and work at Chang's Australian restaurant Seiobo. With the opening of Fuku+ operating in the space above Má Pêche offering both casual and large format dining will Rudofker focus more on fine dining? Or perhaps turn it into Momofuku's take on the Midtown steakhouse? All will be revealed in the fullness of time.
