Hard Times Sundaes Relocates
Andrew Zurica's Hard Times Sundaes food truck will relocate from its Mill Basin home to Prospect-Lefferts Gardens reports BK Mag. Starting in October the truck will be situated at the BP gas station at 513 Flatbush Ave. The move should bring increased foot traffic compared to its current pedestrian-unfriendly location, and since it is close to several trains will make the truck more accessible to those from other boroughs as well.
PYT Burger Set to Open With Limited Hours Next Week
Owner / burger maniac Tommy Up brings word that after some unexpected delays, PYT Burger will be open for limited hours at the end of next week. The Philly stunt burger specialists were slated to open their first NYC location at 334 Bowery at the beginning of this month, but you will now have a little longer to wait to find out how the CBGB's Burger tastes.
Umami Burger on Caviar
Umami Burger is now available for delivery via Caviar, reports QSR Magazine. Umami Burger CEO Paul Clayton promises that the service will maintain "the presentation and quality of our burgers as they journey from the kitchen to diners’ homes." All three Manhattan locations and the new Brooklyn outpost will be involved in delivery offering plenty of coverage. Umami joins Mark Burger and Corner Bistro as the only dedicated burger options available on Caviar.
Harlem Shake to Add Second Location
Harlem Shake, the uptown burger joint specializing in smashed burgers, will open a second location at 2162 Second Avenue in East Harlem, reports Real Estate Weekly. Harlem Shake opened its original location back in 2013 on 124th Street and Lenox Avenue with guidance from cooking guru J. Kenji López-Alt to predictably excellent results.
Kangaroo Burgers
Upper West Side Australian bistro Burke & Wills has a kangaroo meat burger on the menu. The brainchild of executive chef Rodrigo Nogueira (Montmartre, the Monkey Bar) it comes served with tomato jam, arugula, pickled onions, and triple fried chips for $19.
