Last night, David Chang, Ahkthar Nawab, and the Lucky Peach team made their fake restaurant a reality. The crew took over Indian hot spot Babu Ji for a one-night-only pop-up, of sorts, called Randy Krishna's — they were originally going to call it Ruth Krishna's, but Ruth's Chris sent the team a cease and desist so they changed the name. As promised, Nawab and Chang served tandoori-cooked steaks, creamed saag paneer, and biryani onion rings (some of the recipes are available on Lucky Peach's homepage.) Food & Wine's Kate Krader was there, as well as restaurateur/Yahoo Food editor Kerry Diamond. For a brief moment, it was even hotter than Fuku +.
