There's whopcorn ice cream and some al fresco seating.

East Village favorite Davey's Ice Cream has officially made the trek across the East River and is opening its Williamsburg location today (with free cones from 6-9 p.m.). Owner David Yoo took over the former Williamsburg Creamery space this past spring and gave it a little freshening up. As a nod to the old tenant and its fans, he's offering an exclusive flavor at the shop inspired by the creamery's signature popcorn ice cream. Yoo's take on it is called whopcorn — a mix of popcorn and Whoppers in sweet cream ice cream. The rest of the flavor lineup, like black sesame, strong coffee, and roasted pistachio, comes from the original location. Affogatos will also be on the menu soon, made with the shop's espresso machine. For those who want to sit down while eating their ice cream, there are a few al fresco tables out front.
